I'll be making this joke amongst friends and claiming it as my own now, thank you.

Aubrey Plaza as a dry, sarcastic young misanthropist? I hope she's up to the task.

that line was the best part of this episode if not this entire season

"You must be majoring in…Beautiful"

why is people disagreeing with you "hilarious"

I think the 15/16 estimate is basically correct if you give each movie proportions (i.e. one movie was only 70% shit)

I think the general idea is that the Simpsons started sucking when Family Guy first aired, Family Guy started sucking when American Dad first aired, and I have no idea if/when American Dad ended up sucking because I haven't watched it in a while.

IMO, season 2 is also superb. It's more low-key humor, but lately seasons 2 and 3 are my faves.

American Dad is better than Family Guy. That's just a fact.

I'm sure it's "easy to see" for you, but I'm not kidding when I say that every time I remember a Family Guy gag from the first two seasons, I have to actually look it up to make sure it wasn't actually a scene from the Simpsons (this happens in the other direction as well, slightly less often)

Yeah! We're so much better than them!

It's Always Sunny minus the things I dislike about Always Sunny (mostly the constant yelling)

so the fact that it's framed as a cutaway gag? The Simpsons did parodies of well-known shows pretty commonly, usually framing them as TV shows that Homer or the Simpsons families were currently watching.

liked for "pulped my orange"

ha ha I get it

Seasons 9 and 10 had a few good episodes each (like Bart the Mother) and season 11 had exactly one good episode (Behind the Laughter).

Ah! Don't scare me like that

Would you mind giving an example of a joke from the first few seasons of Family Guy that would not have been typical of a Simpsons episode?

Workaholics+Always Sunny could work

I think there was at least implied continuity to the two scenes, so it's still as offensive ("raping someone eventually leads to consensual sex"). And then he murders everyone, including the infant Maggie.
