Perhaps "tens of thousands of aires" is okay though. Few will become millionaires from their past work, but many will receive a nice supplemental income from people enjoying their music, for the remainder of their lives.

I buy tons of old, back catalog digital albums on Amazon and Emusic. Plus, there have been reissues and special editions of old albums for decades now. Plenty of people make money off of their old music. There's nothing wrong with artists making a whole shit ton of money off their back catalog. In fact, it is

I like my whiskey like I like my band aids: Plastered all over my body attempting to heal my wounds.

Going Clear and The Looming Tower are two of the best non-fiction books ever written. Lawrence Wright is a master. If this film is 1/10th as good as the book Going Clear was, it will be fantastic. Kudos to Wright, the film makers, HBO, and Wright's publisher for taking on this battle. Scientology does not go down

Saw fIREHOSE open for M. Ward a couple years back and left about three songs into M. Ward's set. His earlier albums were pretty good, but he was quite lackluster on this night. I know he's a fan than though, so kudos to him for putting fIREHOSE on the bill, when he prolly knew they would blow him outta the water

The intersection of gross and art is always a tricky juncture. Clark is clearly just gross at this point though.

Gawd I'm gonna miss this show. A personal favorite of mine that doesn't seem to get much love? CAN I FINISH???? Yes you can Kroll Show, yes you can. www.youtube.com/watch?v=JyT…

NORM MACDONALD.

I agree. Not only did Kurt provide great drumming in the studio, live he was easily the most entertaining of the bunch. His energy was actually reflective of the energy of the songs. He was fun to watch. All the other members of the band are pretty stationary live, which is kinda ironic since their songs are so

I think that depends on who is running the government at the moment. Odds increase dramatically (and literally) if it ain't a white guy.

Hahahaha. You saved me the effort of typing out the same comment. What I can't believe is that her editors actually let that "review" proceed onto the internet after she submitted it. Truly shameful behavior all around. It's funny how all the angry racial talk was basically (no pun intended) white-washed from this

Good call. I remember that now. I like how they're not totally abandoning the book in the context of the show, even though they easily could.

If I remember correctly, in the book Nora asks Kevin to go to Miami as well. But I think that is the only thing from the book in this episode.

Interesting read if you are a fan of the show. I dunno what it is about Bill's boat, but it just seems like the most dysfunctional vessel on the sea. The other boats seem to have some semblance of crew camaraderie, but the Cape Caution is just a train wreck. Probably because the deck boss, Nick, seems to have three

Hey, that's exploiting rock and roll to its fullest potential.

Ha!!! Great call. "Meet our band of merry men. Shake the hand of every one. We'll eat your food and steal your wives, buy us beer, we're friends for life."

Descendents "Descendents" and (from the same camp) ALL "Allthymn." "A Formal Introduction" by fIREHOSE, and "Young Fresh Fellows Theme," by, you guessed it, The Young Fresh Fellows.

Jay is singing like he finally got his braces off. Sounds good! I, for one, am one of those oddball Sloan fans that tends to like Andrew's songs the most. He brings in a necessary weirdness that prevents the group from ever succumbing to being a typical, boring, power-pop act. A whole albums worth of "People of the

Anybody else support my theory that ATFAC was behind the murder of Gladys? They create a situation in a small town which will require federal help, and then march into town and eliminate the cult. I suspected that when they cremated Gladys before an autopsy, figuring that all the cult members AFTAC killed were via

Prolly still one too many for Sonia, who can't seem to wrap her head around the fact that Chief McDreamy might not always react to a situation the same way Cliff Huxtable would.
