Really great song. I Want Love from the same album is also very good, although not as stellar as this one.

Waiting for "something" to happen (oh, the feeling of doom), I thought to myself "if they kill off Will, I am not watching this show any more."
I've always wondered about the shoe thing. You see it a lot on TV and movies. I never really considered it from a "real life" perspective, and while yes, this is fiction and cannot compare to real life gun violence, that one shoe really hit me last night.
Yep, I thought that's where that was headed as well.
Oh man. Thanks for that. No, I'm not going to cry at work.
I saw three people on my Facebook feed say vague OMG stuff about the show last night, and my stomach sank. One friend said something about "not keeping up on the trades/show news, I had no idea." And I knew someone was going to die. I just didn't know who. I was hoping it would be Peter - and that wouldn't have been…
Seriously. I watched most of the skating on the Canadian channel (but had to watch NBC if I wanted to see the US skaters), and it was SO NICE how the commentators just shut up during the routine. They would comment minimally, not yammer on through the whole damn thing like Bezic.
That's my recollection of '98 as well. And didn't she skate first in her group? Maybe it's not the same now (has the scoring changed or something, I think?) but back then the commentators were always talking about how the judges wouldn't give the first skater the best scores because they wanted to "save room" for a…
Right there with you.
I used to be really into figure skating, and haven't been for a while. But I must be ramping back up for it, because I totally cried after Mao and Carolina skated such lovely programs. They needed to skate well for their own pride, maaaaan! I cheered when Mao landed the triple axel.
I'm still brokenhearted that Michelle Kwan didn't get a Gold.
Julie Andrews is at the top of my Will Bawl My Eyes Out list.
Every time Shoshanna opens her mouth, I want her to shut up. She's not interesting or funny, she's just annoying.
"This is really …. just …. fuckin' brilliant!" Haaaa. Oh, naughty Bono.
A "surprisingly game Bono"? Aw, give him some credit. I suppose only the die-hard fans see enough of him that they see him be self-deprecating, and that he actually has a sense of humor. Alas, poor Bono. No one gets you like your crazy fans.
I'm a big U2 fan, and even I thought the Frozen song would win. I don't think U2 will end up with the Oscar, though.
Huh, I had no idea "Bohunk" had origins as a slur. I think the first time I ever heard it (maybe the only?) was in Sixteen Candles, in reference to the guy the sister was marrying. heh.
I read Death Comes for the Archbishop recently on a trip to Santa Fe, and I really enjoyed it. I think being in that area helped get into it. I do also really like My Antonia.
Yeah, that Pet Shop Boys album is pretty great.
I thought I was the only one not getting the whole Haim thing. Based on descriptions of their sound, they seemed like they'd be right up my alley, but none of it does anything for me.
