The tie ins aren't derailing any of the books, at all.  They are totally unrelated to the narrative of the titles (with the exception of Nova and GOTG I believe), which is a nice side effect of the fact Brian Hitch took forever on the thing and now they are just trying to get it out of the way.

I think less then 52 books would be a good place to start. Like… 30 titles or so with all the mandates you just mentioned.

A firm story structure can be a great thing. That other comic, the big one that has the show on AMC doesn't have that and if you ask me it, and the TV show, suffers greatly.

Your other publisher readings are pretty similar to mine. I just read the first two trades of Sixth Gun over the weekend. I am SUPER excited they got green lit for a show, that could be a seriously great TV show that I would love to see lead back to new readers.

I should be buying Flash. I dropped off after Flashpoint, but from what I've read what is going on now is far better then Johns Flash Rebirth and onward stuff.
