I agree there are interesting doings afoot, but I didn't think Don's pitch was half hearted.

The city's so dirty.

Arnold Rosen's proven he's a snoop, too.  Remember his observing Don's interactions with the creative team, when visiting to pick up the camera?

I get that Don says what his audience wants to hear. And Don probably does oppose the war. But:
… He was stunningly unwise to express an opinion - in a public place - given SCDP's diverse  target audiences. [You can't please all of the people all of the time - so to paraphrase the immortal words of Abigail Whitman - on

Like the Russian in "Pine Barrens".

I agree with all you said, except I reserve judgment about how good a man Arnold Rosen may or may not be.

Don't hate the playa, hate the game.

Maybe it did; and if so, it probably further flamed the fires.

@ "The Killing" - Did you notice Arnold Rosen as retired police officer Gil Sloane (Det. Holder's Narcotics Anonymous sponsor)?

RE: YURI: all that

She'd stormed into Don's office. Her office is still the crappy, file-cabinet filled hole she's always had. [She needs a better office; one befitting a partner.]

I couldn't help but remember Roger's telling his shrink that he constantly goes through doors and picks up his pennies, but it's meaningless. I also thought of the tune "Pennies From Heaven" [lyrics are here: http://www.lyricsmode.com/l…].

Yeah, I can dig it.

Agreed. Plus, Don - though promiscuous - likes surreptitious sex. Remember how angry he got with Bobbie for discussing his sexual prowess with other women?

Yep. It's on St. Mark's - near the squatter's digs where Betty made hobo stew while looking for the violinist, and near the apt. Don lived in after separating from Betty.

And she needs a better office.

Light a cigarette and watch it unfold.
