My parents took me to see this when I was, like, seven years old.  I am fairly certain that they had no idea what it was like.  Maybe they were expecting Disney.

Awesome review.  I wouldn't have thought there was anything interesting left to say about this show at this point, but between "sentient bag of cocaine" and the image of Werner Herzog doing that erotic monologue, I laughed my ass off.  Kudos.

When I first got a copy of this show, the friend who lent it to me warned me "The most interesting parts are the commercials."  I thought the idea was silly hyperbole — this is Star Wars we're talking about!

I actually really enjoyed this episode.  Belsnickel was funny to me, especially in the "Sideshow Bob and the Rakes" way that it kept going and going, with more and more gruesomely unpleasant Christmas traditions.  I completely accepted Dwight's need for Jim's support, and I liked that this episode showed an evolved

I have to say, after all the "what happens in the finale" talk, I forgot to mention — this is one of my favorite episodes of the series.  I think AJ's suicide attempt is probably the most wrenching moment of the show,or at least tied with Adriana's death.  It gives AJ's character and the various storylines given to
