Osland's grope of the tanned piece of mansteak was really inappropriate, and made me sigh a deeply politicized sigh.  So many of my arguments against homophobes rely on the bedrock axiom "Gay guys aren't going to hit on every guy they see, that assumption comes from your asshole male perspective whereby you hit on

I'm sorry, why is Maya Rudolph pretending to be Tiffany?

Walt's "I'm in the empire business" reminds me of a great scene — the central scene, really, in much the same way as this was — of the movie Sleuth.

I appreciate this.  It has occurred to me before that Breaking Bad is potentially a dangerous show for psuedo-science nerds, because it presents its chemistry/physics/etc. with such authority that it takes a little effort for the audience to remind itself "Walter White is just an character, these words were written by

True, I hadn't thought about that.

I actually found it to be Acceptable Summer Entertainment #2326044, but way too much about it holds it back from being more.  Most of it's already been pointed out, but I do want to add a few of my own.  Spoilers, of course…

For the first time in a long time, I think  I see a plot hole.  I loved this episode, and I'm loving this season, so this doesn't bug me at all.  But I have to note:  there was no reason for Mike to be at that meeting with the cops.  Given how important it was to keep his eye on Walt, and given how meticulous he

I think it came across that way, mostly because they established the scenario by having Mike tell Walt "We're going to sit here all night until this deal goes through," and with Mike's patience and meticulous nature it seemed like he was going to do just that.  Then all of a sudden he's like "Oh wait, I have to go do

That dinner scene made me laugh a lot harder than I should laugh during any show beginning with a child's corpse about to be dissolved.

They're doing everything right this season, AFAIC.  They're tying in every character and bringing back the first season so that the show feels like a whole instead of losing touch
