Just wanna say "Bravo" guys, for doing a paragraph on this bit of SCOTUS news and not the one linked within, since that's, you know, not got much to do with pop culture or entertainment media, which is what the site is about. Yesterday this place felt like a haven from all that, and it doesn't really belong here.

Possible. I would actually have to go back and re-watch the series (darn it) because I don't remember. Though if it does turn out that Simon is not as prone to quips as Wash, Zoe, Kaylie, Jayne or Mal, it would be revealing to me that he's typically people's least favorite character….

I don't dislike this episode as some do (Alan Sepinwall also mentioned it as something of a lesser outing in his Firefly reviews from a few summers ago). But since this episode's comments may be less prone to squeals of "this one is the best evarrr!" I think this is a good place to admit something that I'm not wild…

OK, now that the AVQ&A has reminded me that this review existed (and maybe other people have followed the link, too) — it's been a month! And we're never gonna read the book (your review isn't exactly encouraging me to do so, either).
Man, as I was reading this I figureed I would do a whole rant about the Nexus (and how once the villain enters the Nexus he can never be defeated, because however you defeat him, HE CAN ALWAYS EXIT THE NEXUS AT ANY TIME HE WANTS, INCLUDING TWO MINUTES BEFORE YOU JUST DEFEATED HIM).

I'm always bugged by a particular variation of this, usually seen in bad TV shows: the whiz-bang clever dialogue made possible by the Perfect Setup another character just gave. 99 times out of 100, the setup is something totally unnatural or random to have said, and is immediately apparent as setup. Sadly, this…

Once you see teeth like Bubbles' (the Wire) or Spooge and Skank (in Breaking Bad), every white be-toothed actor playing a drug addict ever really stands out.

Damn, now I'm just laughing about that KOTH episode. It was just so perfectly structured, the way everything built from awkward moment to awkward moment. It features one of my favorite elaborately set-up jokes: Hank calls Peggy for help, but she's teaching and cannot be interrupted unless it's an emergency. Grimly…

Well, 40 Year-old Virgin sorta kinda almost went there. Granted, the protagonist wasn't a hipster/party/stoner type, but he was an arrested adolescent who wasn't going anywhere with his life. His virginity was tied to his dead-end job, his lack of ambition, his solitude. When he finally broke out and got friends…

There aren't enough "like" buttons in the world for me to express my utter and complete agreement.
