You know, I don't particularly enjoy his work, but you have to hand it to the guy for handling it so gracefully.  He actually finished the interview and avoided embarassing her during it, or, you know, tossing a chair through a window and trashing the place.  As would have been appropriate.

Aw, man, I thought this was about TMBG doing a cover of K-Pop sensation 2Any1.  Dammit.

It's interesting to watch this show and think about which stories seem deliberate and consistent with the series' themes, and which feel "tacked on," for whatever reason.  I actually like this episode, but that's because I don't see it as peripheral as you do.  Adriana's death makes it impossible for me to view this

You're right, I have no idea why I had that brain fart.  Oh, wait.  I do.  It's called Like a Velvet Glove.

So glad this is out.  I first saw his stuff when it was in the pages of RAW, the Teen Plague stuff that became Black Hole (or evolved into Black Hole, I guess).  His stories always leapt out at me, I enjoyed them even more than MAUS, which first appeared in the same books.

I think there's a HUGE difference between sports and entertainment fandom in this area, which muddies the waters a bit in the way you're talking about it.

Wait, I'm sorry, did you include Family Ties as an example of a smart sitcom?  No.  No, no, it's really not.

I mean the majority of references to any actress online involve that actress' body - not the majority of references to any actress online involve Christina Hendricks' body.

This episode would have been really well-timed if it had come out around the time of the supposed phone hack and fake leaked nude pics of Christina Hendricks a while back.  It's kind of amusing to see the debate about whether the episode was too heavy-handed given that the sleazeball Jaguar character paws at Joan's

God, I love this show so much.  And I love these EPISODES so much.  And the former probably has a lot to do with the latter.  While IMO Buffy kinda sputtered in its final run of episodes, giving us a medicore final season and (again, IMO) a misguided final episode, Angel got all kinds of awesome in season 5, and this
