Alex and Max mumbling ideas about what to do while Dave came up with real ones was a great recurring bit, I laughed every time. But Penny's story was the real highlight here, her scene with Pete's friend was golden from beginning to end. So great.

The Penny subplot was definitely the best part, but I thought it was a really good episode overall.

This episode felt a little limp to me, but that's to be expected with penultimates (with obvious notable exceptions). I've found that the general trend with Fringe reviews (or maybe most reviews, I don't know, I've only paid attention to it here) is that the User Rating is typically one grade below the Reviewer Rating.
