I constantly fight this struggle.  Many days I have to stay late at work adn end up missing something for my kids.  Just yesterday a surgery was running late and I had to stay two hours late. yep, to have a diagnosis of cancer, it has to come from a biopsy.  There can be suspicious areas or presumed areas on a mammogram, but the confirmation comes from the actual biopsy.  Those results vary based on the pathology lab, but can take anywhere from 1-3 days typically. (yes, I do work in pathology and we treat
