I would argue Jasmine is definitely a supporting character in that film. Mostly because she never gets a solo song (she just duets a bit on Whole New World) and I think those go a long way towards developing character. I agree she wound up being one of the most famous Disney princesses in the cultural consciousness

In my personal opinion, Mulan is one of the most enjoyable things Disney ever made. But I would argue that culturally it's not nearly as beloved or acclaimed as the earlier Renaissance stuff.

Thanks! I feel like Sense8 attempts to tell each story in the stye of whatever country it's set in. The Bollywood crossover is the strongest example for Kala. Lito's story plays around with telenovela melodrama. Will and Wolfgang are in more serious crime dramas that could be made in the US or Germany. It's not

I thought his dance was kind of sweet, but I was confused by the fact that Kala knew it too. Is that a popular dance most people would know or was the show just crossing over into pure Bollywood fantasy?

Those eyes coupled with the line, "I've been watching you on the Internet" definitely threw me off for a second.

Yes it should. It really should.

He should wear it proudly just to prove me wrong! Consider it extra motivation.

I threw on my Iron Man suit before I dove into the comments section, so it's all good.

For the record: Assuming everything was safe and consensual and the girl was fairly compensated, I don't personally find it troubling that he hired a prostitute. It was just the way he framed the story that seemed odd/unintentionally hilarious.

I definitely agree he's being self-deprecating, and if he had just said "we made awkward small talk" I wouldn't have found it odd. But specifically detailing that he spent a large portion of the time he paid for helping this girl better her life is pretty much the ultimate #humblebrag. He could have included any

After he describes breaking up with Stephanie he writes:

He's definitely making fun of himself, but he also used a detail that presents him in the kindest light possible. I don't think that was an accident.

Oh man, that Holler If Ya Hear Me misstep is pretty embarrassing on my part. (Also I'm watching videos now and this show looks kind of amazing?) Thanks for the fascinating Hamilton thoughts!

The public perception of Keeping Up With The Kardashians vs. the actual content of the show could not be more different. Compared to Real Housewives or Dance Moms, it's so damn wholesome!

In retrospect, I probably should have used the word "person" not "character." His death is a plot device, but the other characters need to react as if a real person has died, not as if the plot kicked into high gear.

I assumed the latter but who even knows? Maybe Creepy Uncle did it.

I was wondering about the "everyone dying" thing too. Is it really that dangerous to be around the royal family?

Only because I'm a massive nerd for statistics.

The end of the MPAA report has an entire breakdown on their methodology. There were something like 4,000 people surveyed in January and they explain exactly how they did it. The report is hyperlinked in the first paragraph!

I wouldn't say Frozen as a whole is a sexist film, the good definitely outweighs the bad. However, I would say it does a fairly poor job at female representation outside of its two leads (There's a female troll who gets a couple lines and pretty much everyone else is male. The girls' mother doesn't even get a line and
