I hear great things about the Assassin's Creed games, but I am the gaming equivalent of an 84-year-old grandmother and only own a Nintendo DS. Can anybody tell me if the DS version of the game is worth getting?

Thanks for the link @RegularGonzalez:disqus. Interesting read and an argument with some weight.

Yeah, Robin Williams was tiring. I feel a bit like I'm putting a lot of 'it was good, but…'s in my post, but yeah, it was just a nice simple movie. Maybe we can try putting a soda can ring around Robin William's real neck?

Well, of course it's all relative, and it just doesn't take the numbers to chart that it used to. Still, I guess it shows that people who like good bands are maybe more likely to actually purchase it, rather than pirate it. Plus, regardless of numbers, it sounds cool to say that Tom Waits is in the Top 20.

Somebody sounds like he missed out on the wonders of the Hat Museum in Stockport…

I get the feeling I'm going to be the only person defending the first Happy Feet on this board. No, it didn't have the gravitas of the Pixar stable, and the pop songs were a bit annoying, but the story was sweet and it had some genuine moments of joy and happiness. Nothing wrong with feeling like a kid once in a while.

Don't you always brag about being approximately 4 years old, @avclub-eb51727cd6e697842c08dd7b4112c71e:disqus? This should be right in your wheelhouse. Nah, I have a soft spot for the first Happy Foot. This one sounds interesting, at least, and not a completely cynical CGI kiddie horror show.

'you think? everyone's commenting on it, but ain't nobody doing a fucking thing'.
That seems like an odd argument to me, as you could technically say that about any protest. Vietnam war? All they did was go out in large numbers and yell about stuff. Martin Luther King? Pffft, he just got a bunch of guys to march down

Nope. Turns out he's the rapey one.

That pig had it coming to her.

Thanks everybody for all the great suggestions. That should keep me busy for a while!

Is anybody else fucking terrified that the Clown Under Your Bed is working death sentence court cases? Look at the guy! Is that the last thing you want to see before heading to death row?

I fully accept this is my own ignorance, but when I heard people talking about Skyrim I honestly thought it was some sort of replacement for Netflix or maybe a fancy TV box or something. I'm glad to finally know what people were talking about.

I'll hijack this to talk about something, you know, relevant. I'm new to podcasts in general, and Podmass has provided me a great gateway. The comedy ones are good, but my favourite is Stuff You Should Know, as I like learning about the random things they discuss. Can anybody recommend other good podcasts in that

Hmmm, interesting post @avclub-0d4efaa2c9d1041eb9b8b5319eec8531:disqus. It's not a quandary I'll ever have to deal with (I'm anti-death penalty but as a policy analyst I doubt I'll ever be in a position to kill anybody), but thanks for the insight. As you say, even for anti-death penalty people, it presents questions

I agree Mr Tweedy. I just think some people focus more on plot than feeling, which is what I was also sort of trying to get at.

I'm not going to lie - I was hoping for something a little sexier than Paul McCartney when I saw that title.

I had the chance to see this in Denmark, just for that extra bit of von Trier verisimilitude. I'm not that familiar with many of his other movies, but liked this one quite a bit, and it's stuck with me. The first half seems a bit slow, until it's put into context. I think it's one of those movies that works best if

True! So when's your comeback album coming out, hot shot?

I like the recommendations and streams offered by the AV Club and am happy to hear new stuff, but is there any chance it could get its own section (or be some part of the music section)? These tend to get buried pretty quickly as part of the Newswire, and it's not easy to search for them after the fact, when I
