This is one of those things that kind of blows your mind….in theory. I actually wasted 3 minutes listening to it, and I sort of want that time back. Not that I'd do anything useful with it, but still.

I thought the interview was alright, and he came off as at least somewhat thoughtful. I wish that Noel had asked about his controversial (ie. racist) jokes. He goes on at great length about how he's just playing a character and it's for the fans, but does that make it any better? Shouldn't he still take responsibility

So would you recommend 'Hold Your Horse Is' as a place to start? The review intrigued me, but I'm unfamiliar with the band.

I liked some of his solo stuff, but it's pretty hit and miss. I think he admitted that he released a few of them just to fund his drug habit.

The recurring Hold Steady comparison seems very odd, as even the reviewer seems to admit they don't have much in common. I liked the first CEG album, but I wasn't exactly blown away by it. Is this one better? Is it more of the same, or have they taken any great leaps? I'm curious about it, but didn't get much of a

I was a fan of their past few albums, but I always thought that Frusciante was the only interesting thing about the band.

I can't keep up. Which one's Bieber and which one's Swift? Is either male?

Personally, I don't think Sandra Bullock would look very good with stubble, but to each his own.

My favourite, which I haven't heard come up yet, was Losing Joe's Place. Rootbeer Racinette was a great character, and early-teen me felt pretty smart for getting the mild joke of his name. I revisited it not too long ago with my nephew, and it held up surprisingly well. Korman knew how to write for teens.

One should never consume Mystery Dairy.

"It's a job, and potentially a long-running one". I guess Charlie Sheen and I have something in common.

It sounds like you know lovely people.

I just revisited the Day Today over the weekend, and it's still hilarious twenty years later. I prefer Brass Eye, but then I have to miss Alan Partridge's sports.

It sounds intriguing for sure, but it also sounds like a book I'll either really, really like or really, really hate. I might have to check it out though.

New comment board, professional-level photoshop skills….man, I remember when I got AV Club by smoke signal, and now they are technological juggernauts.

True, but I think it was actually a PhD in cultural anthropology.

It's a bit weird how the new commenting system has brought back a lot of old commenters. So this thing can raise the dead as well? The AV Club is really getting its money's worth from this thing.

When you combine the two, is Hitler the raper or the rapee? You know, I'd probably buy an album by a hungover cement truck too. That sounds pretty fucking badass.

I saw him in Vancouver at the Commodore Ballroom in 2005 I think, and you're right Mr Lincoln, it was a phenomenal experience. The people chanting during 'Don't Go Into That Barn', well, I just thought I'd joined the coolest cult on Earth.

Wow Lemmy. You're even more soft-focus now.
