It's always been a mystery to me as to why stoned-ness is portrayed so inaccurately in most TV shows (and many movies as well). Either the writers have never smoked pot (highly unlikely) or they believe that no one in the audience has.

Straw Dogs was the first movie I thought of. I can't think of a better example of a movie that was "made" by its third act.
