Sooooooo… I should probably watch The Wire, The Shield and The Sopranos one of these days….

And he's in the Empire business.

When you lay it all out like this… It really is kind of amazing how these episodes reflect the Kubler Ross five stages of grief. Walt is at first in denial about his empire falling. Then he's enraged at finally being captured, at Jesse's hands, no less. He bargains for Hank's life in "Ozymandias", and sinks into a

He's much better at eliminating his region's criminal problems than Dexter. Though not quite as good as Michael Westen.

I really wish this episode had been titled "Don't End Up Hating Me…."

Well, if Fairy Tale Land is anything like our world with regard to pollution… The mermaids have a pretty good reason for wanting to kill every human that enters their domain.

Revenge

Someone needs to string all these scenes together into one long YouTube video.

The extended ending is Walt waking up in a prison hospital, healed from his gunshot wound. The doctor tells him he's also cured of cancer… But he's facing life in prison. Cue hysterical laughter.

Well, I've been thinking we needed a new letter since the season 4 finale, but I rarely comment because I'm normally in a 4-day coma after every episode and why bother commenting if you're going to be on page 1,237?!

"Correlary" should be corollary. That bugged the hell out of me for some reason, but that was a great review Ms. Bowman; perfectly captured the essence of the series.

They have such….. chemistry….

I feel like by the time he lost his family, his empire, and the admiration of Jesse, he had already paid enough for his sins. Or, at least, there was not much short of having him continue his exile as a lumberjack, that could continue to be considered "punishment." But I liked that he came full circle, because as much

I'm going redeemed. That doesn't mean he fixes everything for every single person whose life he's ruined, but he killed a huge chunk of the meth business in New Mexico and ensured that no one still alive would be in danger by his finally dying.

Looks like we're going to need a new letter for the grading system…

NASHVIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILLE!

Indeed, there is hope! Unforgettable
was just renewed. Yep, that show that was cancelled after season 1, then revived for a summer season it apparently didn't finish in 2013, just got the go ahead for a third season. Of course, Sony co produces that show, and they're notorious for keeping seeming cadavers alive to

Sweet! I thought I remembered that, but I wasn't sure if I was being hopeful or not and didn't feel like searching.

Where did you get that factoid about shows losing 25-30% over the season? I'm not that much of a ratings freak, but I do dabble here and there, and I haven't seen this pattern at all. I could maybe see a 10-15% loss, but 30% is huge. That would have taken PoI from a 2.9 to a 2.1-2.2, and the lowest it got last season

Some portrayals don't do him justice, but I think that's a problem with translating characters from books to TV/film. Since the story is literally Watson's in the book— we get everything from his perspective— he doesn't come off nearly as dull in his thoughts as when
