I've had 2 root canals and they were the most horrible and painful experiences of my entire life. It didn't matter how much they shot me up.  Half of my head was completely numb, but I could still feel the pain in my tooth.  Happens to some people.

I love the dynamic between Mary and Lou, but there was a magic that was gone after Rhoda left.  After she leaves, it's downright painful to watch the scenes of Mary at home, knowing that Rhoda isn't about to come running downstairs to chat with her about an awful date she was just on with some feeb.
