The problem is you really can't compare him to someone today, like @avclub-f6f154417c4665861583f9b9c4afafa2:disqus said. You're comparing a 30 year institution to the guys that are on every night today, in a completely different environment - it's just impossible.

While I agree with the rest of your comment, how can you say Craig Ferguson is overrated when no one even cares to rate him?  He's practically invisible on the late night scene. (I say that as someone who likes him.)

I don't care about this.  What I care about is the fact that you're not going to recap America's Got Talent!  Is everyone here way too cool to care about Howard Stern or something??  With all the shit shows you cover here, why not this one??

Maybe your damned problem (or your generation's problem) is that you seem to be obsessed with finding your identity in your "generation". No need to get all pot-shotty at the WWII generation just because you were born when nothing interesting happened.
