Binky- I think I've seen for more cats abused in my lifetime than spoiled. Boys seemed to find it funnier to swing a cat around by its tail than a dog, for instance. Maybe it's because cats do seem to be able to shrug it off and run away.

I see what you did there.

My god, this is so disturbing that I'm looking through the list of titles and I can't even bring myself to read the paragraph beneath them.

That's cuz he's an asshole.(you'll find him all over the place here, posting that same stupid link)

Fuck this guy.  Rent Fat Head.

"Lesson learned, reenlisting and leaving your not-baby is worse than rape."
I love that this was the final straw.  It says so much about Joan.  She was willing to put up with all kinds of stuff with this guy, but only because he meant some security for her, and that he would be there for her.  Now she realizes that

Yeah, Joan is fascinating - sometimes it's a toss up for me who is more interesting, Peggy or Joan. Joan spent all her twenties trying to land a doctor, and when she finally did, she figured that was the happy ending.  It took a little while for it to sink in that just marrying any old jerk and being stuck at home

I loved that too, and especially in retrospect after hearing Peggy say that she's not really comfortable having to be all smokey and drinky and cocky like the guys. But she sure is good at it even if she doesn't like it!

Exactly.  I'm ok with the Bitch thing - whatever.  But "whore"???  That's pretty close to the "C" word, in my book.  It's really really harsh, and really really from a misogynistic place.  Yuk, Arsenio!

Ha!  That's awesome, I totally forgot she said "gangbanged"!  She's a treat.

posting doesn't equal reading.

HAHAHAHA, that's a good one!

Somebody's cranky.

Maybe he needs to start thinking about giving 115%.

Penn doesn't have any "shows" - it's just him getting the fuck out of there so he can have a few hours of peace.

When she came back, I was like - Der, ok, he's got a fever, I get it.

Or maybe he's seen or experience something similar and it's a reality to him, not something to be excited about or fascinated by.

I don't see any duty or patiotism.  I think it's like Joan was saying, or implying.  It's all ego for him, and he finally found a place where he can be the Big Man.  He's obviously also started drinking too much.  He will be quite a mess when he comes back from Vietnam, if he does. Thank God Joan won't be taking the

I'm probably alone in this, but I didn't take Peggy's glancing at her purse as a racist thing.

I disagree!  The mention of the rape was perfect.  It was not explained, just referenced, and this all happened in front of her mother, don't forget.  So she was able to say "you and I both know you raped me - I didn't forget" without spelling it out.  Way more satisfying than if she was screaming at the top of her
