I couldn't even make it through the first episode. Kept asking myself Why? Because it was bad, I answered.

Great episode, but I was totally confused by the Darlene/Chinese connection. What was the limo scene all about?
Or bagels.
As of last week, and continuing into this week's episode, I am now officially "hate watching" this cesspool of unredeemable characters and unbelievable plot turns. Of course, the suicide note that Rachel wrote would never have been reviewed by the police to determine if the hand writing matched samples of Mary's. Or,…
Never heard of the Playmakers. I will have to google it. Hopefully, it will be on one of my demand/streaming services so I can take a peek at it.
This episode was my make or break…continue watching or not…one. And I thought it had enough decent parts for me to continue. I do wish there was more depth/character development, but it thinks it is a comedy, and yet tiptoes around serious pro football issues…fidelity, health vs. fame/big checks/large living, caring…
But still no ride. Unless Ferraris can hover-drive these days.
Ed McMahon descends from the couch in Heaven, saying, "You are correct, Sir!"
I liked Dream On, but that was my heavy drinking years, I think. Would I be embarrassed by my comment if I saw it today sober?
Not going to happen. Dwayne left his Rock behind—he will self-parody, but won't selfie his junk, I don't think.
Jeff, as a college student of the early 70's, I revered HST. You are right about Depp being the only actor to portray him even remotely well in F&L (was that a Terry Gilliam film? If so, TG deserves a lot of credit, too). Someday soon, before the next election, I hope to re-read his F&L on the Campaign Trail, to see…
Great recap, Emily. Hopefully your AV contract has wine written into it.
And somewhere, Orson Wells nods in approval between gulps of Gallo wine.
Impressive that the show included so much relevant social commentary (police violence, feminism, TSA) with its typically crazed, silly and funny humor. On some level, the TSA sketch actually scared me while I was also laughing. A solid A from me.
Someday they will be saying the same thing about Pablo Schrieber—best all-American, ethnic synergistic name of all Hollywood.
I could see that, although I don't agree with it's rating…maybe top 25 new shows for me…it came in with the uneviable comparison to VEEP. It depends whether it gets better…it is not top 25 to me yet, but it seems to have that potential if it lands the ending/cliffhanger for next season.
Give me Spartacus for penis theatre.
DICK JOKE ALERT! love good dick jokes.
Made a conscience choice to avoid Gracepoint. I paid my dues by sitting through season 2 of Bored-church. It's not been renewed, I hope. But season 1 was fabulous, and the two leads were great.
You laughed only two times during the episode. That is close to the number of times that I laughed at Nurse Jackie or HIMYM. Through their entire runs, although I quit on HIMYM after season two. I agree with your John Larouquette show-stealing role. But I think Tim Robbins has been going over and beyond the material…
