I also watched The Muppets this weekend. I had to fastforward through the songs, as most of them were godawful (of course I didn't skip The Rainbow Connection). It tugged at the ole heartstrings for me as well. All the cameos were great, too.

To me, New Adventures is one of their best works. It's an album that sounds like "Country Feedback" could fit right in on. And "Be Mine" is one of the most sugary sweet but also gut-punchingly great love songs of the 90's. Blur's "You're So Great" also falls in to this category.
No, but it says a lot about you. Revisit them. As David said above you, there is no difference in quality from the old episodes when you look at them as a whole season.
I thought the last 4 episodes of season 3 were quite a bit better than the 9 that preceded them. I watched those when they originally aired on Fox back-to-back, and as far as I was concerned, that WAS the Arrested Development movie. And I was totally satisfied. I'm still excited about the reunion. I think it's enough…
