"I read every last word of this piece of shit, and because of it I'm never reading again!" - Officer Barbrady
It normally bothers me when commenters go crazy for the writer of a particular article, but it has to be said: O'Neal is a goddamn master of his craft. This (among several other Newswire pieces today) is a masterpiece of almost-faux-journalism.
But they talked about it didn't they? Also, referencing San Andreas is hardly "with it". I think it's fitting that the iteration of GTA that comes to mind for them is nearly 10 years old.
I'm in the exact same boat. I'm 25 and by the time I was old enough to watch a show like this, it was already pretty much a Nick at Nite show. I started watching along today and was blown away by how good it is.
'Scuse me, 'scuse me! A man with big balls is coming through!
What song is that?
Like that time you had sex with Eartha Kitt in an airport bathroom?
Mass appeal, orange rind; smoke your green, I'm spendin' mine
I've been listening to this non-stop since NPR posted it Monday morning. I've always been a fan of his music, but I don't feel like he's put out a really strong album from start to finish until now. This is a hell of a debut.
Did I miss the part of the show where it was insinuated this guy was a district attorney? I thought he was an attorney general or a federal marshal or some shit. He's definitely not the DA for the Charming area.
And you sir, just gave me a reason to watch The Change Up. In HD.
I don't care about this article, I just came to re-iterate that NPR is streaming the new Childish Gambino album, and I'm sure those of us who have had an early listen would love a forum to discuss it in. Get on that shit, O'Neal!
This guy is self-aggrandizing in a really horrible way. "And then David Chase told me I was the best goddamn actor ever!"
They all went to watch that movie, "Maid in Manhattan".
I was never familiar with him until I heard Jeff Tweedy's (excellent) cover of "Be Not So Fearful" on the YHF documentary. So, thanks Jeff. Because yes, Bill Fay is goddamn amazing.
I'd love to see a Gateways to Geekery that focuses solely on Nick Drake. Dude put out a lot of amazing music in such a small period of time. Pink Moon alone deserves to have several books worth of insight written about it.
^ What he said.
I am running Adblock, dickhole. It's just an annoying new site feature. (that also eats up more memory, and for someone who usually runs like 10 different AVC tabs in Chrome, where each tab runs as it's own separate process, that shit is crucial.
I think you think I think too much.
