The author's philosophy is just like any other. It has its flaws and its strengths. But the story drew me in along with a strong independent, female protagonist who is also a little weird. In general, every character was a little weird and morally ambiguous.

There is some faithfulness to the book in Branaugh's version, but the tone is not there. It's supposed to be a psychological thriller.

Atlas Shrugged will be made into a great set of films! You will understand/love the love square of Dagney Taggert, Hank Rearden, Francisco d'Anconia, and John Galt like never before!

Eh. I have no problem with the all-female cast. I just wish it had more unknown women in there. Each actress has a well-known schtick that has worn out its welcome in my opinion.

Frankenstein can be made into a properly faithful adaptation. It's one of the best horror stories ever told and yet no one wants to tell it. The Keneth Branaugh version was so horrible.

For psycho-social-sexual needs?

Yeah. I read that previous column. It's just odd to me that anyone would waste their time watching a bad film that is based on a novel that they consider to be bad too.
