I agree with everything you wrote about Darryl.  When the season began, he was fighting the fact that he was an underachiever, and dismayed by the mediocrity of his life,  which all along has been the central theme of The Office.  I honestly don't care if Darryl ever finds love,  this is a workplace comedy, not one…
