Liars " No. 1 Against the Rush"
Liars " No. 1 Against the Rush"
The Undertones "Teenage Kicks"
I second this, and raise you an "At Home He Feels Like a Tourist"
Or a mashup of the "Push It"s by Garbage and Salt N Pepa.
Roxy Music "Love Is the Drug" in the style of Grace Jones.
Teena Marie "Lovergirl"
Also, Marianne Faithfull "Times Square". Not super queer, but super good.
Well, they're included under the super queer umbrella, but if I had to specify: "Take Your Mama".
Suede "Drowners"
Decemberists "On the Bus Mall"
The Smiths "Handsome Devil" and/or "These Things Take Time"
David Bowie "Queen Bitch"
He didn't have much of a reaction when she asked him to play the song. I watched the scene over and it kind of seems like there should have been a moment there. But yeah, it's not as if he could have pulled her aside and told her not to sing at that point.
Ok, so I have a question about the big final scene in Phoenix. So, spoilers on:
I think it was really clear early on that Jeremy, Spencer and Tasha were getting, if not winner's edits, than edits that belied how long they would be in the game. Look at how much focus those three got in pretty much every episode compared to, Kimmi, who I actually forgot was still around at the start of the finale.…
It's a shame the show is so married to the Final 3 concept; I'm sure I could be forgetting a contrary example, but it always seems like there's two real contenders and then a third player, in this case Tasha, who has no real shot.
Thanks, I'll have to check that out.
No, you're not a terrible person. The whole thing seems like a transparent vote grab scheme to me. I mean, sure, Val's pregnant, and that's awesome, and Jeremy seems to really love his wife and family, but that's doesn't necessarily overwhelm all other factors in giving him the win. If you think he played the best…
Out of the three of them Joe is, by far, the least interesting. Ozzy at least had his amateur porn career.
Sure, everybody's in an emotionally raw place. They miss their loved ones. Even Spencer missed his girlfriend, who he really wants us to know he loves. And yeah, everybody on the jury probably could make a decent emotional case about why they need the money. But it's not a game about who needs the money the most. That…
I actually didn't mind Malcolm that much; he was a bit of a troublemaker and not just a bland man statue. Ozzy and Joe are pretty much the same person, though.
Exactly. Jeremy's whole arc this season has been about how he just wants to give Val some money, and how he's a firefighter, and how he has 2+ children, and how he really needs the money. I'm not disputing that, and Jeremy seems like a good guy, and he played a decent game. But if the game was just about awarding…
Yeah, I don't understand what's so special about Joe. He's a reasonably, but not overwhelmingly, attractive man who seems generally pleasant. He has a remarkable head of hair. He practices yoga and prays a lot. I can see him being appealing to women who like that sort of soft, easygoing vibe, but now he's supposedly…
