Guys. After opening with classical music over pretending to have a conversation in a fancy restaurant, the first line of actual dialogue when you to turn the camera should be, "Well, hello!"
You know what? I think it's Tom's own fault all his callers seem so confused. I mean it happens so often, maybe it's his system, not the callers' intelligence that's to blame.
Yeah.. But sequels and remakes are nothing new. They were re-making movies in the 30s… Look how many movies were made in the Blondie or Ma and Pa Kettle or Flash Gordon or Tarzan or King Kong series. From the beginning of film they were trying to squeeze more life out of every popular mainstream movie that they could.…
I dunno. Maybe it's just the standard comedy knock-out from getting conked in the head, then. Usually puts the victim to sleep for anywhere from 1-24 hours, then complete recovery (albeit with amnesia when the plot requires.)
It wasn't just the baldness though, it was his transformation into a bald schlub.
I guess it's been a while since I've seen this episode but I don't think Kramer was supposed to be in a coma.. I read it as a concussion or something else that's minor.
I'm with aclassicbluff.. I don't see where Sandler is any better or worse than anyone else on the list. He's making the kind of movie for 12 year olds he always makes, but for whatever reason this one comes off as shittier than the rest. You can't even say the idea is any better or worse than any other Sandler movie-…
Really? There's tons and tons of drama on TV, especially when you consider cable. Or are you going by some narrow definition of what "drama" is supposed to be?
I missed where he said Hot Rod. Now you got me wondering if I fell for a troll.
There may be no genre comedies on the list, but there ARE movies that have a strong sense of humor on the list- hell, Submarine is the second one down, and it's directed by one of the funniest humans alive.
How is Bridesmaids groundbreaking? It's formula Apatow with women. It was very entertaining and I'd watch it again but it's not by any means a top movie of 2011.
Wait. Did you actually see all of those? In the theaters?
I thought the same, why even bother include it? It's a tea party-sponsored feature length ad that played in a handful of rented out theaters. If fruit that hangs this low is up for grabs you may as well include whatever Kirk Cameron rapture movies came out this year as well.
I'm sure she's a considered a demigod in Portland.
I'll watch Boardwalk Empire until the final episode. Same goes for Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Homeland, hell even Dexter and Hell on Wheels. Should also throw American Dad and Family Guy into the mix, as much as I hate to admit the latter.
Neat!
Yeah that bugs me too, I think I would have preferred they leave the reasons for his turning vague. Systematic torture and brainwashing I buy, just making it over a kid seems really cheap and convenient.
Taking pictures of license plates to find a jurors' identity, showing up at their door repeatedly- that's not harassment?
I think the incest thing could work if- and only if- they cut to Dark Passenger Daddy watching it all go down.
