Brown noser.
Brown noser.
When I saw them on tour to promote "Fade", I was impressed to find that Ira still works the merch table. The show, however, was a total snooze.
It caught me totally off-guard when I realized what an excellent producer Tim Armstrong is.
I was never a fan at the time, but damn… those albums have aged well.
Upvoted for Los Bros Hernandez and the Bammer.
I actually gave up on Dylan after seeing him live. I've heard stories about his famously hit-or-miss concerts, but he was so apathetic and half-assed in his performance. I'll stick with my back-catalog and listening to people covering his songs.
Seconded with John Waters. No matter what he does, you can never say it isn't interesting.
Jack White, Britt Daniel, Elvis Costello (always and 4ever <3) and Dan Clowes.
First UK print. Even the picture sleeve was in great condition. I think it was something like 40 euro? Which, all things considered, isn't a bad price.
They had a first pressing of This Nation's Saving Grace! If I didn't already own an admittedly shittier re-issue, I would have bought it.
My husband put together a pretty excellent Stan Lee costume one year, but that is pretty contingent on your hair situation.
They had a massive punk/post-punk collection. I can never find good old punk records that aren't insanely overpriced. While they were expensive when you factor in the exchange rate, for Paris prices they were completely fair.
I wish!
Upon getting out of the cab from the airport, I saw a man out for jog carrying a baguette. I thought "Oh yes. I'm here, aren't I?"
I noticed that is also true.
YOU HAVE NO IDEA. My husband had food poisoning, so at least he was able to clear out his system.
Ha! Funny you say that, because we couldn't help but notice that EVERYONE has at least one dog there. The only cat I saw for the whole trip was lounging on a grave at Pere Lachaise (which seemed oddly appropriate, actually).
I bought a really sweet French Stranglers album (as in, the album was recorded in France) while I was in Paris last week. Croc-O-Disc in the Latin Quarter is the place to be!
Back from Paris!
We did all that we could possibly do there. We ate a lot of bread and drank a lot of wine and had a lot of sex. I also smoked a lot of cigarettes at cafés while drinking wine/coffee, because that is a stereotype that surprisingly holds up.
