Everyone in Boston loves him, but the stories about him brawling with his wife (then girlfriend) never sat well with me.

Ouch! Tough break for Shero.
While I am not a fan of metal, I truly have a soft spot in my heart for metalheads.
Fair enough. I'm a Bruins fan, but I can fully admit that Lucic is a sore loser and a punk, and that Krejci should probably be traded because he shit the bed in the playoffs.
What if they are a hockey fan, but hate the goddamn Flyers?
My husband always says that I sealed the deal with our relationship by bringing comic books to our first date.
You and I would not get along.
I've been enjoying the album Corsicana Lemonade. They kind of have an early Black Keys mixed with T.Rex sound, and I think it's perfect for spring in to summer.
Active Child feat. How To Dress Well- "Playing House"
Beulah- "Gene Autry"
The Clash- "Spanish Bombs"
Dinosaur Jr.- "I Misunderstood" (Richard Thompson cover)
The Dirtbombs- "Ever Lovin' Man"
Foals- "Ronald Raygun"
The Sea and Cake- "Exact To Me"
The Walkmen- "Four Provinces"
White Denim is what I wished the Black Keys could have become.
Also, hand claps.
Let's discuss a pattern I've noticed of great bands-
Things are gonna yet sparkly!!!
Awesome deal, awesome record.
Good find on the Talking Heads record. Original pressing? If so, may I ask how much you spent on it?
I picked up a few things on Record Store Day a few weeks ago-
Fool The World is the translation of a Pixies album called Trompe Le Monde. I figured it was a good a name as any for a commenting alias.
Sorry I skirted that! I actually haven't read it yet. I imagine you would enjoy it, but you may need a crash course on the basic characters and their connections to one another before reading it.
Yeah, Gilbert does the more out there, non-linear stories for sure. If you like feeling invested in a world with consistent characters and story arcs, Jaime is your man. If you want more surreal, one-off stories of woman with with preposterous anatomy (and that's cool! That's cool.), Gilbert is the guy.
I find Gilbert's work slightly too…fetishist? That man loves outrageously sized breasts. Jaime's work on the other hand is a bit more delicate, and his character development is second to none.
