Found (and joined) the G+ group, using my real name to make my username more of a joke. I'll send up a beacon for @avclub-b894e4330aeaa46a373292d17c62984d:disqus .
I like how Quark is *always* pessimistic whenever he's put in a position of responsibility. It suits him.
Where are the G+ and Facebook groups, anyway?
In fairness, the Maquis operated for a while as space-guerrillas with small craft. Not the same as full-scale space warfare, but it's a start towards fighters?
True, but that's saying something about Garak's character, nothing about Ziyal's.
@jerodast:disqus SPOILER PROBE FROM MEMORY ALPHA
Apparently, they were considering having Vulcan be the world lost to the Dominion, but decided it'd be too significant.

Found any Human mysteries up to the standards of an enigma tale?
SPOILERS
Apparently, they come back in the 2400s, according to Star Trek Online. They take over DS9, but the female changeling is let out of prison to tell them the war's over and they need to go home.
Well, in fairness, the Dominion lost its listening posts on the other side of the wormhole, so until they figure out what took those posts down, there'd be better uses for the Jem'Hadar. Not to mention, for all they know (at least unless/until the Dominion manages to restore some form of communications between Alpha…
@AmaltheaElanor:disqus I don't mind the reuse of ships, though I kinda mind the reuse of shots. But not that much. They're a TV show with limited budget, after all, and the character work is often enough to sell it.
Sirella's speech at the end makes Klingon weddings feel incredibly awesome.
More Sisko's resourcefulness in securing both the Jem'Hadar ship used to study Dominion weapons tech and the upgraded shields themselves, I think.
Besides, I'm trying to imagine Sisko explaining *that* plan to Starfleet. I can't see that going well.
@LurkyMcLurkerson:disqus Even so, I don't think he's ever been comfortable with killing people - certainly not directly. After all, that'd mean permanently ending a potential customer, and that wouldn't do.
He's a spy, and is trying to turn her? At least it'd be different.

I think it'd be kinda fun if you had a show that started out seeming like an ordinary procedural… but then it turns into something else halfway through. Like, some generic medical drama… but then all of a sudden there's like, massive rioting and…

Very much agreed that the second proposed Cardassian character would work better.
@avclub-0bac5746aa760492dbce3d5dfd26ab9c:disqus Very much agreed - it was always neat seeing different characters set alongside each other in the same story.
I do kinda wish they had done a story involving Worf and Kira, personally.
I doubt you get many orders for it, but Prudent Prune Juice?
