How dare you take out Root Beer Guy! How dare you!
I can't disagree with you. I feel that some time around the end of season 3, the show took a step back and became more obviously formulaic. At the beginning, obviously there was always the monster thing, but something about it had a certain charm that I don't see as much now. The better thing now is the character…
Isn't that first time Benson got out of a situation he created. They explored this in the Rock and Rock Hall of Fame episode, although he did have the guys with him to help in that one.
I agree with your thoughts on the recent string of episodes. There really hasn't been one I've liked since Breezy. Obviously, this show is always good; better than other stuff on TV. But that doesn't mean some episodes just don't make it.
I can definitely agree on the last two, but I really thought the first one was great. Some laugh out loud moments in that one. But at least I'm not alone with this stuff, haha.
Yes, that was probably the line of the night. The funny thing is, there have been a lot of episodes where I thought LSP was hilarious (more so at the beginning of the series). Just didn't like this episode.
Still disagree that last week's episode was some work of art, but I definitely enjoyed this week's episode. I'm biased though because there hasn't really been a Benson centric episode that I've disliked. Kind of an interesting angle the writers took, taking huge shots at police officers in their portrayal of the…
Guess I'm in the minority (wouldn't be the first time). I thought this was borderline bad.
I kind of liked it, but I had a sense that I had seen everything before again from this one. I don't understand why everyone outside the park always has to be a tool (with the same voice). I didn't get the motivation for the surf guys to act like that towards Pops. We've seen M & R fall asleep on duty before. We've…
I liked it and thought the ending video game sequence was very well done. Who knew Rigby was "horrible at video games" but actually paid enough attention to know all about them? Lots of good callbacks during that scene, as well.
I actually thought this was one of the weaker ones of the series so far. That said, I'm definitely enjoying the show. Just didn't get many laughs tonight, even if the idea of the Judges series was pretty funny.
Yeah, I thought this one was kind of cute, at least the tail trying to free the creature. But definitely on the weak side. I appreciate all the dynamics that this show puts out there, but they don't always work perfectly.
I enjoyed this. A good amount of really laugh out loud moments, especially from the supporting crew. Also, a nice story and call back to the guardians.Yuji was pretty funny and turning that into the autocorrect was good.
This one was definitely enjoyable. I never like when this show gets overly repetitive, and I felt like tonight's episode was very different from the usual stuff we see. So that gives it extra kudos, and of course, Eileen never fails to disappoint. Not the funniest episode ever, but definitely enough laughs to make it…
Yeah this is the first show that I'm starting to regularly watch since AT, RS and Gumball. Looney Tunes Show, too, I guess.
Check please.
The one moment I truly laughed hard out loud tonight.
True, but I feel like we've established this change in dynamic many times now, which is why I mentioned the "been there, done that" feeling. If this had been the first time that Benson had looked passed M & R screwing up, we'd be on a new character development. However, for much of the past couple of seasons, Benson…
I don't know how you do it, Alasdair. This review is so much more in depth than the episode probably deserved, haha. Reminds me a bit of when English class would look for things to analyze in a book, even when it meant grasping.
I was actually slightly disappointed. I mean, this show is always good. But the original James episode had that ending that made me think the sequel was going to be some epic about the history of the goo people (who make appearances in the Simon/Marcy stuff). In addition, I don't remember the last time Adventure Time…
