It's cool if you guys don't like Queens. No bigs. But you seem to have some sort of skepticism of the fans, as if it's bandwagon-jumping or something not genuine.

The recent interest in the band might be due to the fact that, oh I don't know, they have a new album coming out? It's called press? And people are freaking pumped? Because QOTSA are freaking awesome?
Yes, a few days off to "recover".
I far preferred The Garden to Simple Things. The Garden is still in regular rotation for me. Great album. You should try it. For me, it scratches the same itch that old Thievery Corporation scratches.
I think you're way off on the "lazy music" sentiment. That sounds like an opinion formed after only a cursory listen to their music. Just because it's poppy, clean, and pleasing to the ear does not mean it's lazy or simple.
This better not be like The Loneliest Planet. Got a glowing "A" review from AV Club, I got really excited to watch it, and it was literally the most boring movie I think I've ever seen.
Ah, the good ol' days when the phrase "I oughta sock you in the puss" had an entirely different meaning.
My room-temperature oatmeal just got a lot tougher to swallow.
This is the best news ever "!"
This is so completely, absolutely not true. I actually cannot believe how untrue of a statement you've just put in front of my eyeballs.
Yes, we're all pretending.
Yeah, not a huge fan of the Jay-Z contribution, either. Part of it is actually just the sound of his voice. It's such a stark contrast to Timberlake's falsetto, and the general vibe of the song, as you mentioned.
There are so few artists that can say they did NOT borrow from their predecessors, so I try not to hold that against anyone.
If you're on the fence about "Suit & Tie", just watch the performance from SNL on Hulu. Great performance and the song really shines through, better than on the radio.
Lowest common denominator?? If "lowest common denominator" pop carried as much talent as Justin Timberlake, things would be much, much better. Some just can't see past the fact that he was in N'Sync.
It was more of a patronizing "Great Job" than anything.
It's got to get drastically better for me to continue, as well. People calling this "classic" Community are kidding themselves. It felt more like a bad impression of the Community I used to love than anything. Nothing feels the same.
Agreed. Not a great episode for me at all. To call this a really good episode of Community is to forget the great episodes that have come before it, in my opinion.
Is this a setup? I feel like this is a setup.
But Dutch ovens are typically made of cast-iron. Many are enameled cast-iron (the "pretty" ones), but still heavy cast-iron nonetheless.
