almost all of the scenes we described above are from episodes 8-12. The last half of the season is really when it grabs you.

I really like how Tom uses Last Chance Kitchen as a way to teach the chefs something based on how they lost in the competition. It adds an earnestness to Top Chef that a lot of other reality shows don't have.

I love Spy Game. It's a weird, fringe movie, but I adore the style. I am a sucker for global politics stories with a strong female lead, though. (Homeland, case in point.)
