I hosted Thanksgiving for the first time this year, and finally got to grips with how to make real gravy.  I had covered the turkey in bacon while it was cooking (to keep it moist, which works really well BTW), and the drippings made some pretty spectacular gravy.

I've also tried a Belgian spread called "Biscoff", which is basically crumbled-up gingersnap cookies.  Spreading cookies on toast seems…  well, terribly wrong, but it was incredibly delicious.  I decided I had better stop after I went through one jar, though.

That's okay, it's not for everyone.  In fact, last time I ordered it in a deli, all the waitresses crowded around to ask me how it was & what it tasted like.  Guess they don't get many people actually asking for it…
