My prediction is that the zombies will never even appear in this series and instead we'll get an insightful and nuanced drama about living in post 9/11 America. The lack of zombies and superb acting in the trailers thus far lead me to believe this.
Sequel focuses on the family's ordeal, and speaks to the larger issue in America of white people almost getting punished for their crimes. Movie goes on for centuries.
