I think the biggest issue with diet sodas are the effect they have on the bones. (And I'm an arts major, so my opinion holds some weight.) I forget the chemical - it's only present in dark sodas - weakens the bones which is especially bad for women.

It's kind of a bittersweet result, no? I mean, trying to lose weight is difficult and doubly so if you're diabetic, so in a wayyy, losing an arm and a leg is a small success.
