But wait — Bob's Burgers!

I actually didn't even mind the "Power Card" thing. It seemed like just the kind of ridiculous thing Mac would know about a brand he was loyal to.

"It’s one more time when someone says to Vic 'admit you’re evil,' and here it’s done by someone who admitted it a long time ago." Beautifully put.

I've always loved the way this show's built up its supporting characters. The sight of the final cast of the play was a nice reminder of just how many there are.

You know, I’ve never minded the shoutier Gene episodes, like “Beefsquatch” or “Gene It On,” but it was kind of nice to hear Eugene Mirman getting to do more measured voice work. “Is the ‘putting a fire in the butt’ part of the inspiration or is that a separate suggestion?”

Like a lot of you here, I feel like the show's starting to bring its elements together in a way that fully delivers on its promise. And I like that it's lately managed to use its slight iciness to intrigue rather than put off. But whether it'd cohered this way or not, I'd always have been grateful for the chance to

"I don't like when characters repeatedly act in a way that they
themselves should realize with even the most minimal amount of
reflection is a giant mistake. And then things work out for them because they are the heroes." Well-said; the last sentence in particular is what clinches it.

I know this is gonna be bad, but I'm actually excited to see this.

I forgot to mention this in the favorite moments thread in the last review, but Jay Karnes's delivery of "Jesus!" in "Wins and Losses" just slays me. What a thing of beauty.

Ha, yeah. The inch Sutter might have made a mile. That scene was as much flirtation with that possibility as I need.

I do feel Sutter needs the moderating impulse the others provide most desperately. Times like this, I always think of his plans for the big reveal re: Dutch — one gesture that would have entirely altered a character carefully developed over the whole series, all to indulge Sutter's own apparent attraction to extremity

Commenting on my own comment to add another light moment that's among my favorites: Robert Huggins's "David Asses-veda."

All that said, that didn't make the scene any less amazing.

One of my favorite light moments: "The captain does not like excuses. He just likes results."

"You can bill me for it." "Fine. First payment's due now."

"Postpartum" was my introduction to the series, too. It was a hell of one. Lem's last words are haunting.

Yes — that's another great example that comes to mind when I think about this.

Yeah, I always find myself a bit miffed with shows whose writers can't seem to figure out how to give black characters interesting things to do. Justified's Rachel Brooks and Arrow's John Diggle come immediately to mind. (Though I'll admit I've watched Arrow only intermittently, and seldom with much investment.)

Never heard the song, but your rendition made me laugh out loud. (WAHHHHHHAAAA!)
