Agreed. But I think @DocDoc is talking about an equation Marty's drawing. And the general irrationality of Hart's worldview is pretty obvious.

It's my one, really only beef with Justified: that they wrote so little for Rachel. I feel bad for Erica Tazel.

Holy fuck, that episode. Marty reaping the whirlwind. The run up to the raid. That tracking shot. That final birds-eye. The last lines of this review.

Like trying to explain particle physics to a…particle.

Pierce's final words to Shirley floored me, they were so lovely. Loved Troy's "…millions of dollars." And that Walton Goggins tag was a thing of beauty.

Yeah, I'd like Tina and Josh. Josh is good for her. And I wouldn't want anything to get between Jimmy Jr. and Zeke.

I do agree with you about the slightly stagnant feel of season 4, but I'd definitely suggest rewatching it, if you haven't done so already. A lot of the episodes I thought lackluster were really much more enjoyable on second viewing. Though a reboot like the one the review describes sounds like an even better

Can I just say I was happy to see your name here? Between this, 'Farscape,' and 'Arrow,' you're fast becoming one of my favorite AVC reviewers.

Thanks. I knew she sounded familiar, couldn't place it exactly.

Lost it at whooping butt.
And I love how game Gene is for everything. "Sounds twinteresting!"
And the voice actor playing Jody did a great job with her meltdown in the
car with Bob. "I have trouble with math!"
"Good pun, Tina."

Yeah, I always hold this movie up as the reason I can't hate Nicolas Cage. Not completely, anyway.

A very good point. I guess what I'm responding to is the charge based on the popular idea of feminism alluded to above — the kind that's "like a safe coming down on your head." Which feels like the only definition anyone recognizes these days.

I don't really agree with your dislike of Dany, but I can see why you feel the way you do. I don't know that there's an undue emphasis on feminism per se in 'Game of Thrones,' outside of Dany's story and to an extent Cersei's and Brienne's — it's more an honest look at women both capable and fallible in a world often

No, and I give Annabeth Gish credit for being game enough. I don't even dislike it, really. It's just so apropos of nothing.

Reyes with the whale song leaves me poleaxed every time. And I second the general opinion on "Essence"/"Existence."

He is. Now, if they can just do the same thing with Rachel…

Oh, that was dumb. Thanks.

I've loved Linda from the start. I see episodes like these as rewards for my faith.

Anything Tina says in her "adult" voice is hilarious.

I particularly enjoy those moments when Louise acts like a kid, because they happen so rarely. "Do you want my chart? To take into your room for review?"
