@disqus_UKG9Ey3mOp:disqus Is it possible that the fight scene was conceived first (as @avclub-d18d162b77b4dc101430d0c28b7196c5:disqus suggests) and that April was made a transsexual character in the name of political correctness?  I mean, who wins the offense-on-behalf-of-athon: a transsexual portrayed as a masculine

What about 40 Days and 40 Nights?

"Double A writes that it mostly stinks, but gives it a B- anyway.  I guess that matters more than my own opinions.  I love it!"

Don't get your hopes up if that beef stick of yours is kosher.

Same reason we celebrated Margaret Thatcher's death: political ideology before subject matter consistency, yo.

Say the whole word!

So, it's from Christopher Nolan?

Remember when Weiner almost got the show cancelled because he was holding out for more money?  I don't think I would be comfortable working for a boss who's so willing to hold my career hostage for a raise.

My favorite part is:

I fully agree with you, with the exception that your opinion of this site is clearly much too high.  Writing serious reviews of Aaron Sorkin's revisionist history fantasy is right up AV Club's alley.

This is the AV Club.  You're supposed to hate the Wal-Mart crowd.  And anyone who's different than us.  And anyone who hates people that are different.

Claiming vindication for not liking Louis CK because he had the fifth-highest ticket sales of all comedians in the country last year is only slightly less absurd than being outraged with and/or smugly disappointed in America for the same reason.  Peopled paid a combined $16 million to see him live last year; he's not

"…no one thought the show would make it to three seasons—let alone two."

Yeah, he really went from being The Next Big Thing to universal indifference towards him pretty quickly.  Did his obvious attempted sabotage of The Italian Job do it?

I think there's a lot of great things about this scene, but I especially like that the signature monologue in a film that has a lot of characteristics of a "love letter to NYC" is the main character listing all of the things he hates about the city.

Yeah, good call.  All Christians are racists, and none of them are black.

@avclub-a30886189696ec2f02253bd337deef8b:disqus This being AV Club, we're not sure if you're being sarcastic or not.  Please explain.

Mrs. Jay-Z has it right.  It's not about the water, it's about the titanium straws.  Everything tastes better when it's sweetened with a healthy dose of megalomania.

But how would you feel about the album if it were released on an HTC One app?  Worse than terrible, or kind of OK?

He's and underdog AND a gay fish.
