Thumbs up for Epidemiology.  I remember watching it when it aired, and at a certain point near the end, I became aware that I was literally sitting on the edge of my seat with a huge grin on my face.  A quintessential example of what made Community famous outside of its little pack of hardcore fans: it swung for the

I love Paradigms of Human Memory, but I still agree with your point.  I don't know what a fourth Harmon season would have been like, besides better than this season was.  But the show's evolution from the early first season through the end of the third was pretty extreme.  I do worry a little that a fourth Harmon

I wholeheartedly agree with Intro to Statistics being the episode where the show made the leap (I think just about everyone feels that way, even those of us who fell in love with the pilot).  I also agree that the faculty party is probably the best example of Old Jeff, and that's what New Jeff should be compared to as

I fully understand and agree that some of the attention to Benghazi is politically motivated, but let's not pretend that there shouldn't be Congressional hearings about it.  The consulate made multiple requests for security aid before the attack, and they were refused.  The military chose not to attempt an

Casino Night is great.  I'm not sure what Erik interprets "10 most representative episodes" to mean.  I think Casino Night would have to be one of the 10 most important episodes (i.e., Jim leaving) but I guess the list is supposed to be a way for non-viewers to catch up without actually watching all the episodes?

I agree with your reading of the character, but I don't hate her.  It is odd that everyone here is praising her for essentially doing nothing but telling Schmidt to revert to what he used to be.  Sure, we interpret the relationship through the main character and therefore see her as trying to de-douchebag Schmidt, but

My non-Indian perspective is that CeCe was a character whose ethnicity was completely incidental to her character in season one and part of season two, and her upbringing was almost identical to Jess'.  I think it's supposed to feel like she's embracing her heritage in a way that is almost recklessly sudden, and it

"Next time: Will Harris presents 10 individual arguments for why The Middle is
one of TV’s best ongoing comedies—even if preconceived notions about a
family sitcom on ABC or about Patricia Heaton’s politics say otherwise."

A fire…at a Sea Parks?

It's one thing to know that The Office used to be one of the best shows on TV, but it's another to be reminded of it.  I happened to catch "Initiation" last night in syndication, and despite having seen it several times before, I was shocked by how much good stuff they were able to cram into one episode back in season

I'm reasonably sure I could find a half dozen Uncle Alligator cups from Rax in my parents' kitchen cabinets if I dug really hard.  I don't really remember anything about the restaurant itself, though.

You can get angry at me for pointing out that you got the school wrong if you want, but come on, someone just made a mistake.  There's no need for self-righteous indignation about your glorious ignorance of Indiana.  Bloomington is the only IN college town anyone in the writers' room knew, and a 30-second Google

I was once rejected as a blood donor for having too much iron in my blood.  So yeah, I stay pretty warm.

Yeah, and she was supposed to say everybody was a robot, not just Troy.  And I thought Troy injured his shoulder, not his knee.

I'm not a regular view of Raising Hope or How I Met Your Mother, but I do feel like they both go to that kind of well too often.  How many super-important traditions has Ted never told his kids about?

Yeah, the new showrunners have essentially confirmed our not-quite-worst fears: the show is a lot more like Happy Endings than it was before.  It's mostly amusing and interesting, and still somewhat daring, but the depth of emotion and connection with the audience just aren't what they used to be.

There are only 29 vet schools in the country, so it's not the most difficult thing to keep track of.  I just thought it would be nice that a show with a character who applies to vet school in Indiana would have some basic knowledge of vet school or Indiana.
