Don't over think the backlash, this is AV Club. We only liked Apatow when his shows and movies were commercial failures. We only liked Muse before they got huge. We only used the term hipster before everyone called everyone else a hipster.

Based on Superbad alone, I never would have pegged Emma Stone as the one who got famous.

Is "incentive material" code for "unwatchable crap"? Because if so, it should be pulled every week.

I don't think anyone is trying to say that P&R has declined recently, and that's not a conversation I would want to have. We're saying that the show-not-tell issue is a structural weakness of the show.

So egregious you don't even remember what it was, huh? I've said it before, but I really couldn't care less about product placement. Why should I care if they're eating Subway or something they're props department comes up with?

Quick side note: how bizarre is it that some networks don't put shows online immediately? When I miss, say, Bob's Burgers and try to watch in Monday night, I check Fox.com (because I like to make sure my viewings count for shows I like and that aren't ratings machines), but no, they don't let you watch an episode…

Fearless, but in a kind of sociopathic way. I have no problem with Olivia Munn, and she may turn into a good character, but presenting the kind of person who gets in fights with other strippers, hits her boyfriend with napkin dispensers, coerces her new boyfriend into having sex in public, and does fully clothed…

Telling not showing is kind of Parks and Rec's go-to move. I like it, but it frustrates me that, when Community's not around to be cock of the walk, Parks and Rec is the consensus top show around here.

Well done, but I thought the line to the second cop was, "There's two of you? Come on, I thought we were in a budget crisis," or something along those lines.

Actually, some band has the rights to that name, so I'm thinking, like, "Use You Illusion II."
