I don't recognize your right to exist, Nathan Israel!  Give the Nathan Palestinians back what the British should have given them 60 years ago!

Yeah, I definitely agree that Conan's peak came a few years too early for his own good - remember when Comedy Central was replaying the previous night's shows?  There was also the contract issue: Jay's lawyers wrote him a great contract that had a minimum show requirement which, according to what I have read about it,

After a quick perusal of the comments, I don't think anyone has posted this Sorkinisms video yet:

Hmm, a derivative concept with a script that needs to be rewritten, but will almost certainly still have gaping plot holes and wooden dialogue, and that will survive based upon the merits of its special effects alone?   Sounds like Michael Bay should use the pseudonym "Ridley Scott" so AV Club can shower him with B+

I disagree that conservatives can't write good comedy - South Park's been doing it for years, all the jokes on Community about Britta being the worst, Colin Quinn, Nick DiPaolo, Ben Folds, etc.  I'd also point you in the direction of one of the posts about Game of Thrones using a Bush head on a pike if you want to see

Not to keep this going two days later, but this says everything I've said, only better.  I will again invoke the Pauline Kael effect for your ignorance.

I remember it well enough that I know just about the only Bush-era policy that didn't survive two years of Democratic control of both chambers of Congress and the White House (and two more with the Senate and presidency) was the Mexico City Policy.  If you would care to remind me of why I'm supposed to think Bush

Obviously the topical jokes were intentional, but I'm not convinced that the idea of a wealthy family being out of touch with reality was supposed to be some kind of comment on political dynasties.  I mean, where would Lindsey's ineffectual and asinine causes fit into the framework some people here are trying to put

@avclub-e7c26e48b7ee853cbf5e49de5d800745:disqus  You mean the largest expansion of entitlements since the Great Society, the greatest intrusion of the federal government into education since the Department of Education was established, an attempt to grant amnesty to some 11 million illegal aliens while refusing to

So as a self-described moderate, would you put yourself to the left or right of Bush and/or Romney?  I ask because I always thought it was bizarre for people to try to portray Bush as some kind of right-wing zealot; I mean, his whole campaign in 2000 was based on the idea that conservatism was too conservative.
