I see no workable way for Brad to win this game now. Not that I ever thought he could, really, as his is the Song of Ice and Dire. He's a guy playing to get to the end, but he's not playing to win the damn thing.

Jeff Probst ripping Colton a brand-new asshole was nearly as cathartic as the last ten minutes of the Breaking Bad finale.

Thank you for this.

I kind of wish King of the Hill were still around, if only because I feel like there's a decent Homeland send-up you could have done with that show — at the very least, a better one than this (which, admittedly, I largely enjoyed).

He was also that irritating dude who could fly on Heroes. The one that dated Claire for a hot minute.

Yeah, you could see it bugged him. More than perhaps anyone else in the agency, Quinn sees himself as the good guy. That speech to Estes last season was kind of a setup for this, as he goes from "killing bad guys" to killing children (albeit mistakenly).

Yeah, this was a pretty damn solid premiere, especially because it took us back to the halcyon days of those first couple episodes in season one where the show was more or less a revenge procedural, with a Target of the Week getting taken down by schemes of increasing complexity, the specifics of which would be

Wasn't Charlotte pregnant at the end of last season? It's like the only thing she's given birth to is a set of bangs that just aren't working.

Vince Gilligan really produced the White Whale of modern TV storytelling: a wholly satisfying series finale. No ambiguity, none of the "open to interpretation" / "make your own ending" bullshit that's proliferated movies, TV, books and videogames. Just a clear-cut, definitive ending.

I adored this pilot.

I loved this, largely due to the strength of Danes and Patinkin's work. I know the show isn't exactly Brody-less, but if this is what a Brody-less Homeland would look like, I'm surprised they haven't dialed back on him more before now, because this is a perfect illustration of how Brody doesn't actually need to be

Of course Pan pulled a Ramsay Bolton.

Seriously, can a brother buy a vowel?

Oh wow. I didn't even notice.

"Guys, we’re gonna show full penetration and we’re gonna show a lot of it. I mean, we’re talking, you know, graphic scenes of @avclub-4e47f6a561dbe6724a331cf235f76e8a:disqus  really going to town on Scarlett Johansson. From behind, 69, anal, vaginal, cowgirl, reverse cowgirl, all the hits, all the big ones, all the

Glenn Howerton is an inexhaustible reservoir of amazing line readings.

That Alec Baldwin impression may have been the best celebrity voiceover impression the show has ever done. It was still far from completely accurate, but as the disclaimer at the beginning states, they frequently don't even try when it comes to celebrity impressions.

Diane Kruger and Demian Bichir are remarkable.

On the plus side, they didn't bother to turn Rayna-in-a-Coma and Deacon-in-Prison into multi-episode arcs like I feared they would.

I'll take it. As long as someone is giving her props (glad to hear about the cinematographer too. Even I, a total fanboy for this show, am guilty of forgetting to give the cinematography its due).
