Lovely. Tight and streamlined and totally makes up for the lackluster premiere. I hope we get more of the gang working together as one whole unit instead of torn apart as they were the last stretch.

I really, really loved OK Go's first album. Their follow up Oh No was alright but man, that first album was super slick and clean with a weird 50's throwback pop bent to it. They've never had that sound again. (A big part of that probably has to do with the keyboardist leaving.)

I still know most of the words to "Bangin' On A Trash Can" and then conflate it in my brain with Cliff in Singles singing into her answering machine "I was walking down the avenue-hoo-hoo-hoo-ho looking at some garbage cans"

Yes, all these things. While I laughed uproariously, and was even moved a few times, somehow all the pieces didn't snap together 100% for me. All the individual parts and people sung, but in unison created a bit of a cacophony.

Robert Downey Jr. in Less Than Zero continually destroys me. One of my favorite performances.

My original crappy pulpy first-run trade of Derf's MY FRIEND DAHMER. There's a nice new fancy edition now, but I bought that original one for $3 off the counter of a local hippie bookstore. It has a smudge of pasta sauce on one of the pages where an ex-boyfriend dropped part of a meatball sub. I went to grab the comic…
