No. Just… no.
No. Just… no.
Well, he was conversing with someone on the phone in (I'm assuming) Norwegian.
Bah, stop whining. Arrows are weightless, you know.
Oscars = resounding meh.
Language watch so far:
He was pining for the fjords.
I don't see any difference between what he does on this show and what you commend him for in the canon material. Whenever Elementary's Holmes "guesses", he has a reason for it based on evidence before him, or at least that's what I've seen. I don't remember any examples where that hasn't been the case.
Yes, I loved that acid on doll scene too. I missed the opening, so when I got to that point, I wondered if I'd really missed something. I'm actually glad to hear that there was no explanation to it, that it was just another weird thing Holmes does that probably has some esoteric point to it. It's hilarious.
16 episodes is quite long enough for the will she stay / won't she stay. We've been talking about that issue for almost ten straight episodes. To drag it out anymore would have been overkill and the whole issue would have just become a source of frustration for viewers. Heck, commenters on this site have been…
I actually like his role towards her and I haven't seen condescension at all. If anything, he's playing the role of a mentor rather than a teacher. Instead of telling her what she should be thinking, he gives her the scene and then lets her deduce what she can from it, while filling in blanks she missed and guiding…
You're talking about the Red Team episode, right? I'm not sure any experts said at any point that couldn't be done. I seem to remember the doctors not even realizing the option of poison causing the dementia because they diagnosed it as a simple case of Alzheimer's.
The last paragraph on the first page is by far the most hilarious thing I've read in a long time, particularly the reference to phoniness. I'm not going to read the rest of the article, because I would rather pretend the interviewer is mocking him than learn that he's actually unironically praising him instead.
Wait, his death will be "quite in the past"?!
I think I like the concept of her, but her spastic mannerisms do kind of get on my nerves sometimes, particularly the effervescent giggle she constantly speaks with. I know she's just trying way too hard to appear cheerful, and I liked the very few moments when she let that persona down, such as around Bates and…
*ducks*
He still likes him for the same reason he started liking him to begin with, but I don't believe that automatically makes him a fool like you seem to assume it does.
They were really beautiful and made me want to hop on a plane to Scotland immediately.
Haha, good point. O'Brien looked like she wanted to go to India, but if going there means tending that shrew of an employer, she should probably just quietly shuffle back to Yorkshire.
I was pleasantly surprised by that last bit too. I expected her to get angry at Mrs. Hughes, or start bawling. To have her just laugh with relief instead was awesome.
I don't think it was purely "getting beat up" that fixed that relationship. Remember, this episode is set one year later than last episode. That means that Thomas and Jimmy have been working together for a year. Their relationship may be uneasy, but since there were no references to any more shenanigans, clearly…
