Austen at 51 degrees
Did anyone notice that Austen was labeled at 51 degrees? (screen shot can be found here: http://bit.ly/bqTTK8) Could be Kate or maybe her dad? I've been trying to add the Valenzetti numbers to 51 to see if their is any correlation there, but no dice so far.

Thanks for all your replies, everybody! I guess the consensus is that there is no big significance in her reappearance, but rather a fun little throwback from the show's writers. Oh how they love to torture us.

Lynn Karnoff
Did anyone else notice that the woman interviewing Locke at the temp agency was Lynn Karnoff? The same woman who was in the episode "Tricia Tanaka Is Dead" and played the fortune teller.

Yes, but the others on the island only recently found out about the candidates when they got that list from Jacob vis a vis the guitar case Hurley had. All prior attempts to kill them just meant that they didn't know about the candidates.
