I don't know about "credible," but Pop defender right here. I've really never understood all the hate this album gets. "Do You Feel Loved," "If You Wear That Velvet Dress," "Please"…yeah, I'd call it one of their best albums. Certainly better than that pandering, vanilla "Beautiful Day" shit they came out with three

Advice: DON'T DIIIIEEE

This "Isaiah" kid's story is cute. He clearly doesn't realize every other RHCP fan had the same experience 16 years earlier when they heard One Hot Minute.

Speaking of Cranston/BB, I seem to remember reading somewhere a while back that Root was originally offered the role of Walter White but for whatever reason it didn't work out. Has anyone ever heard of this, or could confirm whether or not it's true? If it is, whoa. Just think.

"THAT GUY" ALERT

Either way, the original songs on this show are uniformly awesome, especially the ones that are transparent parodies. Kinda hard to pick a favorite between the "Jon He Does It" theme and "Tappin' On Empty."

Oh God…cannot…resist..urge…must…make…"Fuzz: The Musical"…reference…

Did Andy remind anyone else of Charlie in the Nightman Cometh tonight?

I assume Whitford will take the bullet in an assassination attempt in which Ben was the target.

Amy Gardner?

After a weirdly subdued showing from him last week, I'm glad to see the side of "Jon" I love once again. "If the skins fit…this is it," "bone phones" and "Wang Gang" all made me happier than I can possibly describe. And the "six-foot party skin" was a nice, possibly unintentional callback to the "foot-wide" sandwich

It reminds you of the chicken they use in a Chicken Supreme.

I hope this gets mentioned in the next Outside Scoop, because I don't know if anything on the Onion has ever made me laugh harder than Jackie Harvey referring to Jack Black as "Blackjack."

Delocated isn't like any other sitcom, and this episode wasn't really like any other sitcom season-opener. In a weird way it almost kinda reminded me of some early-season Breaking Bad episodes (like "No Mas" in Season 3 or ".38 Snub" last year) where it's kind of setting up the rest of the season and its impact won't

SHAP ATTACK

Count me as another for whom Richard Pryor albums doubled as a sex manual back in high school. Always hearing dudes brag about their sexual prowess, endowment, etc, had made me crippingly insecure, since I was young and naive and it never occurred to me that they were lying. So hearing Pryor admit he "can do about two

Maybe I'm wrong, but I always interpreted that line to be more of a reference to AIDS than to any sex act. Maybe back then that was thought to be the primary (or only) means of transmitting HIV? I dunno. Either way, he now sings it as "careless sex," which is what makes me think that. I could be totally wrong, though,

"He was EATING UP A LADY where the lions and Christians fight"

I guess the Janis Joplin thing is kind of low-hanging fruit in this thread.
