IT'S ALRIGHT
TO CROSS-DRESS FOR CHRIST
The main reason I went to the show actually was to see Elvis Costello, with whom he was touring. Now, I know he's not a 60s icon or anything, but Elvis Costello is no slouch, he in my opinion is every bit Dylan's equal as a songwriter and is widely respected so I was under the impression that it was more of a…
At first I was interpreting this as referring to the The Runaways movie, in which I would have to assume he'd be playing Kim Fowley.
It would be worth it, if Dylan didn't insist on playing a Casio synthesizer with his back to the audience for 100% of the show, backed by a bar band playing 10-minute blues versions of his songs that sound like they should be playing on the "Blues" XM station they play at every BBQ restaurant.
He's not surprised you're on his dick.
Agree with Raymond. Exactly zero duds.
At last, the mystery of George Burns' death has finally been solved.
Sounds more like it belongs on my Ultimate Could-Be-NIN-Song-Title List.
Star WhackerzTM
If they should bar whackers, please let these Star Whackers stay.
Tim C apparently needs to throw in the towel.
I'm in the Midwest too so I've never had Carvel either, but I've spent time on the internet just gazing upon pictures of Cooky Puss and Fudgie the Whale and dreaming of their charms. If I ever actually go to the East Coast this will be my first stop.
In general,
How about the personae of 99% of rappers in their songs? Like, for instance, how Biggie can come off as so sympathetic and downright charming when he's robbin' bitches too, up the herring bones and bamboo? After all, he wouldn't give a fuck if you're pregnant. That's pretty low.
This episode gets docked a couple points for not actually including a Rachel Maddow appearance, which would have been awesome.
I'm pretty pleased with the fact
that they actually had Tina Fey play her 9-year-old self. I've seen them do flashbacks with her in high school, etc, but that was just downright awesome, especially with the sight gag of the giant doorknob.
That's the same thing I wanted to see!
Me and Saddam, we're like this! Who woulda thunk it?
My favorite part of that one was him calling Robbie Robertson to tell him how easy Garage Band was.
"That's better"
No mention of the best part of the episode, the idea that the "live show" is just how Jack sees the world when sober?
Winnebago in the middle of nowhere = success
Did anyone else think (or in my case, pray to Allah) that they were going to do a Breaking Bad parody once they had the flight simulator out in that field?
