Why did we ever, even for a few months in '98 think the two piece midriff baring prom dress was a good idea?!

Because of Virgin Suicides and Freaks and Geeks I now have irrational nostalgia for the 70s high school dances I didn't actually go to (born in '81) whenever I hear Come Sail Away.

I didn't. I would think I would have had fun, because I had fun at the other dances I went to but then again none of my friends went to prom either…

Definitely this episode, with Wendy at the end of her rope, lying on that couch barely conscious and Daryl telling her what to think while calling her Baby Girl a lot…

Just gonna throw this out there because its the internet, why not: Raylan Givens vs Chev Chelios, who wins? Besides Amy Smart.

This is how you disappear into a role.

So here Neal McDonough is wolf eyed, and when he was on Justified another character described him as having eyes like a husky. That's odd.

Is it weird that more than anyone else I want Dewey Crowe to be the one to get out of Harlan alive? I think it could happen.

Wasn't that basically Skyfall?

Felt like more of an apology for last week's opening "Hey that was horrific, right? The flesh tearing? Here, enjoy our two ridiculously attractive leads getting dressed together"

Loved that movie! That I only knew existed because someone here wrote it up for their pleasant surprises or future films that time forgot in the end of the year poll.

LOOK!

Sounds like fun

"Happy Christmas!"

The one thing I hate more than the will-they-wont-they is the dream sequence fake out love scene.

I couldn't get that into House of Cards, and I think its basically because I have far less patience for Kevin Spacey characters sauntering around constantly telling the audience how awesome they are than I did in the late 90s. Also, out of the three big guys in LA Confidential I never would have picked Guy Pearce as

Hey now…some of them might be play prostitutes or eleven year old rape victims.

I tend to fast forward through the Clive Owen/Rosario Dawson segment. I can't tell if the writing is actually that much cheesier, or if Mickey Rourke and Bruce Willis just pull it off better than Clive Owen trying to sound gravelier while (mostly) doing an American accent.

I think he became Joseph Gordon-Levitt?

WHAT?!
