I'm working in a bakery decorating cakes and making the decorations for them. Also do the cashiering and other customer service which I'm actually enjoying much to my chagrin because I got the journalism degree that I'm not using in part because I thought I would never want to work in retail again.

Emby Mellay?

Whoa, was the implication that Harry and Ginny were raising Lupin's son? Because I totally missed that.

Yeah, what the hell was that all about?

Not the first time, but definitely during the scene where he was going to kill that guy by pouring all the wine into his mouth and Sansa was basically standing off to the side having to say how funny it was.

And in a related story, they changed the picture for this story to one where Capaldi is looking a little sexier. That's hilarious.

But have the newer younger ones really been eye candy, though? I remember thinking Smith was kinda ugly when he started out, and I really don't think so now. Even Tennant, as the pretty one, kinda looked like a mouse. But I think its the character that's sexy so I'm confident that this guy will kinda be too.

That's ear candy. But yeah, one tends to compensate for the other.

Yeah, I got really really excited at his reveal in the last episode.

More like "this project needed about 50 strong Mexicans…and Lady Gaga, apparently"

I kinda do too. I just watched the last two seasons for the first time (I had jumped off when the Palladinos left/Christopher came back) and my heart just broke for Lane during her little "It was such a small window when I got to be a real person" speech.

Oh, I would not want him to keep quiet. That voice is half the sexy. The other half is honestly just writing/talent.

Aw poor Jeremy Davies! But yeah, what with the terrible haircut (and on this show that is saying something) and the being even more twitchy than usual its best to just remember him on Lost.

Agreed. Wait, what FX series is Trejo on? I'm gonna assume Sons of Anarchy because of crime but don't actually watch, so…

Yeah, I'd describe it as well-meaning, but the show had an odd relationship with women. On one hand Sam seems pretty unabashedly feminist, but he also thought he single handedly started feminism by encouraging a girl to try harder to get the job she wasn't being considered for. Yes, of course, a priveledged white guy

Good question. If all of Al's knowledge is drawn from police records and obituaries and news stories why would he know when some guy really lost his virginity? Particularly a guy who was lying about it?

Thanks! I was about to ask how to italicize.

I never really noticed, except for the scene in the Beth episode where she and Al are "dancing" to Georgia and they replaced in on the DVD with something else that sounds about 30 years too old for either of them to like, but they kept the dialogue about how much Beth loved Ray Charles. Annoying.

Your mention of obstacle love interests on this show has me wondering, do we ever get a female one of those who anyone would be able to stand them for an extended period of time? Other than Rachel (generically nice but still barely a character) they're all painted as pretty one dementional and obnoxious.

Counterpoint: class discussions. I took a film class (film mediations on mental health) and I know I got a lot more out of Cabinet of Dr Caligari and Psycho talking about it afterwards than if I just watched it at home.
