That's definitely a huge part of why the diner scene in Mulholland Drive and Robert Blake in lost Highway scared me so much. I went into those movies expecting to be confused, not scared (and I got both!) I saw Lost Highway based on the New Cult Canon writeup but when that picture of Robert Blake showed up in that

I grew up Protestant not Catholic, I've spent a fair amount of time in churches thinking about how God affects my life but I can't say the devil or demonic possession is a trigger for me. So I didn't expect Exorcist, which I finally watched last year, to be absolutely terrifying! I don't think you have to be deeply

I love that one! I watched it again about a month ago and while it's not as disturbing as it was when I first saw it as a kid, it's still pretty effective. Dean Stockwell is just really good in that scene.

He played mean, naked and slutty very well.

I didn't grow up on these (I was reading Teen magazine at 9 or 10 to dream about what being a teenager would be like) but at one point my sister must have read RL Stine "The Snowman" because I remember her reading one of the sexy parts aloud to me.

I like it for Jason Isaacs.

God…I love it here!

Didn't Rupert Everett already do that in Shakespeare in Love?

Not saying I believe everything Dan Brown wrote about Da vinci is historical fact, but is it so insane for me to agree that, yeah, Jesus probably had kids?

Yep Kartheiser always seems really fake to me, but Pete Campbell is written to be fake, so it works.

Why? I mean, I believe you that he's too old for the part, but I have to imagine he's pretty confident that there's no one coming up to take his place.

It's "WHY is the rum gone," thank you!

I can't split old vs new scorcese that cleanly. I love the Aviator and Shutter Island and hate The departed and gangs of new york. I enjoyed Goodfellas and Cape Fear and hate Taxi Driver. To my mind, he's not on a downward slope he's just not consistent. And by that I probably mean, I don't like his work consistently.

I actually thought it was a great movie wrapped in two terrible movies. Meaning the only story I was interested in was the riot at the end.

Sam Raimi directed For Love of the Game?! I've seen that movie many many times, how did I not know that?

But it did provide this quote

Now I'm wondering if I can find Night of the Lepus before Halloween.

Hey, an instance where adorkable actually works!

I would never have even heard about "Holocaust" had I not watched "Imaginary Witness"

What did The Snake Pit change?
